A few simple habits make a big difference: a cleaner burn, better scent throw, and a longer-lasting candle. Please always follow the safety label on your candle as the source of truth. A shorter wick helps reduce soot and keeps the flame steady. A full melt pool helps prevent tunnelling and supports an even burn. Long burns can overheat the jar, leading to smoking or wick mushrooming. Drafts can cause flickering, soot, uneven wax and weaker scent throw. Snuffing reduces smoke. If blowing out, do it gently. Discontinue burning when about 10mm (1cm) of wax remains at the bottom. Extinguish and let the candle cool. Wipe the inside of the jar with a clean, slightly damp cloth. Trim the wick and relight away from drafts. Next burn, allow enough time for a full melt pool to reach the edges. Avoid drafts. If tunnelling is severe, stop using and contact support for advice. This usually means the wick is too long or the candle is in a draft. Extinguish, cool, trim the wick, and relight in a calmer spot. Make sure the wax pool reaches the edges (especially on the first burn) and avoid drafty areas. Large spaces may need a larger candle size. How to take care of your candle
