Cinnamon bark oil and carrot seed oil give the opening a dry, spiced, slightly earthy edge, while ylang ylang adds a creamy floral softness. Australian sandalwood takes centre stage, framed by Texas cedarwood and sweetened only slightly by benzoin tears. It was added to Tom Ford's Private Blend collection in 2011 as a celebration of sandalwood, and its close-to-skin, spiced creaminess still sets it apart from louder woody fragrances.
